Why the BSA Walk-the-Walk Activity Challenge Is Important to Me
I need it!!! Although my height/weight is OK, my physical conditioning needs work. Walk-the-Walk will focus me on being more active while setting the example for our Scouts to get ready to earn the President’s Active Lifestyle Award also.
Something Interesting About Me
Philmont Scout Ranch in 1968 was a life-changing experience for me. I may never get into the shape required to take a trek, but I hope to hike some of the trails again soon.
My Blog: Week 1
After sitting and eating all week in San Diego, I was anxious to get back and begin my “Walk the Walk” challenge. 30 minutes is longer than I thought! I have varied my activities with, yard work, recreation and cooling off; sure was glad to see that pool when returning to 98 degree weather!
My Blog: Week 3
Outdoor activity has been a challenge due to record heat in Texas; over 100 degrees everyday! So much of my activity has been in POOL TIME! It has also directed me to a better workout schedule inside, on the light weights and such. Can’t wait for a break in the weather to get the bicycle out and log some miles.
