Over the past 15 years, Nathan Rosenberg has shared with the BSA his substantial
experience in organizational transformation, leadership, and strategic planning.
As chair of the Boy Scout training task force and the Scouting in the 21st
Century Quality Task Force, he has helped prepare the program for its second century
of service.
An active Scout as a youth, Mr. Rosenberg joined the Orange County Council’s
executive board in 1993, eventually serving as vice chair of marketing and chairman of
the board. He has also served as program chair for Area V in the Western Region.
On the national level, Mr. Rosenberg has served on numerous committees,
including the Marketing, Supply Group, and Order of the Arrow committees. He
chaired the Program Group at the 2001 and 2005 national Scout jamborees and worked
on the Philmont Training Center faculty for five years. A James E. West Fellow, Mr.
Rosenberg has received the Silver Beaver and Silver Antelope awards.
Beyond Scouting, Mr. Rosenberg has served young people as a Little League
coach, a youth soccer coach, and a fundraiser for the Orangewood Children’s
Foundation. He has also been a guest lecturer at the United States Air Force Academy.
Mr. Rosenberg is a founding partner of the global management consultant firm
Insigniam Performance. Over the past quarter-century, he has personally coached and
trained thousands of business leaders.
A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Mr. Rosenberg saw
military service as a naval aviator. Flying search and rescue missions in the Caribbean
Sea, he helped save 24 lives and prevented the illegal entry of five drug-smuggling ships.
Mr. Rosenberg and his wife, Karen, have five grown children.
